"River View" is a landscape oil painting of the Savannah River. The Savannah River is a major river in the southeastern United States, forming most of the border between the states of South Carolina and Georgia. Visits to the Augusta, Georgia area were helpful in giving my impression of this beautiful area of the south.

When painting an abstract, I don't have an exact plan for the outcome. I am conscious of the color mixtures that I enjoy and play around with the combinations, adding texture and linear marks to give the painting depth. "Untitled", an acrylic abstract painting, with it's beautiful color and movement makes me feel uplifted!
